Mottarone

MottaroneThe Mottarone ( m. 1492 m asl ) that divides Lake Maggiore from Lake Orta, is considered one of the most beautiful natural balconies in the whole Piedmont. Its orographical formation allows a 360 ° from the Po Valley to the summits of the Alps. The eye of the visitor is struck by the summit of Monte Rosa and by the seven lakes ( Lake Maggiore, Lake Orta, Lake Mergozzo, Lake Varese, Lake Comabbio, Lake Monate, Lake Biandronno ). Meta handy for Lombardy and Piedmont, in the winter comes with 21 km of downhill ski runs for all levels of difficulty.
